Here is a letter I sent today to C. Douglas McMillon, Walmart President and CEO:
We ask that Walmart end its financial support of Al Sharpton and his organization, the National Action Network (NAN).
The cold-blooded murder of two New York City police officers, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, follows weeks of Sharpton's vilification of law enforcement personnel.
As you know, Walmart has helped bankroll Sharpton for years. Most recently, the company was a sponsor of Sharpton's 60thbirthday party in New York City, which reportedly was a fundraiser for NAN that raised a million dollars.
We have repeatedly raised the issue of your support for Sharpton, including at the Walmart annual meeting. You cannot lay any claim to corporate social responsibility as long as you write checks to Sharpton.
This is not the first time that violence and loss of life have followed Sharpton's agitation, such as in the 1991 Crown Heights riots and the 1995 Freddy's Fashion Mart incident. Sharpton's involvement in these and other abhorrent episodes, such as the Tawana Brawley hoax, are a matter of record. You cannot claim that you are unaware of Sharpton's past record of anti-Semitism and incitement.
Other corporations support NAN, and we will be making the same request of them, but Walmart is Shaprton's biggest and most prominent corporate donor. It is essential that Walmart lead the way in disassociating corporate America from Sharpton's demagoguery.
Police officers are working people whose dedication and professionalism help keep us all safe. They are also Walmart customers and shareholders. You can demonstrate your support for law enforcement by ending your support for Sharpton without delay.END LETTER
National Legal and Policy Center is about to publish a book titled Sharpton: A Demagogue's Rise by Dr. Carl Horowitz of our staff. Carefully documented and footnoted, it will be the authoritative account of Sharpton's life.

If I were the widow of slain cop, those two wanted would get a wrongful death lawsuit in the millions for that chant about ‘dead cops’ and de Assio for not stopping it, and removing the protestors. Because they were saying ‘right now’...that should have been considered a “threat on the life of any NYPD cop”.
The new documented workers have taken over my local Walmart, especially at night, there are no parking spaces and they hang out in front of the McDonalds that is inside. It’s particularly disturbing...about 3-4 miles away.
If I need something at a Walmart... I go to the other one further away, it’s safer. For the most part I shop elsewhere, even K Mart...but it’s quite a drive.
Hillary used to be on the Board of Directors for Walmart, and may still be....maybe a copy to her and, other BOD members would be noticed as CEOs are usually not at the top of the chain.
Hillary left the WM board when BJ ran for POTUS...23 yrs ago.
That long ago? I thought I read something more recently?
Well she was FLOTUS
then Senator from NYS
then Sec of State
(all of those make her ineligible due to “ethics” LOL laws)
Walmart is worse all over, including their online store. I cringe at the thought of shopping there anymore, Sharpton or not.
Walmart services a large black customer base in some areas of the country because of their low prices. They've probably simply made a business decision to pay Sharpton rather than having to bear bad publicity and boycotts from some of their customer base. Corporations don't like adverse publicity. They will pay to avoid it.
Sharpton, Obama, DeBlasio and Holder poured gasoline to the race hatred fire, but also share responsibility the companies that finance Sharptons race war.
These are some of the companies that finance Sharptons race war, Anheuser-Busch, Macys, Pfizer, NY Developer Forest City Ratner, MGM, Pepsi, Macys, Honda, Chrysler, General Motors, FedEx, Continental Airlines, Johnson & Johnson and Chase. Al Sharpton is able to fly around the country advocating for violent protests and the murder of cops because many of the nations top corporations have fallen for his shakedown efforts and give him millions to fund his activities. It is time to pressure these corporations to stop finding this charlatans efforts.
