Do blacks trust police more than whites do? Given the anger over events in Ferguson and New York City, the very question seems absurd. But it is not. Behind the polls and demonstrations, there is evidence that blacks trust police at least as much as whites do.
The poll results are hardly surprising. A new Gallup poll confirms blacks place less confidence in police and the criminal justice system. Using survey data from 2006 through 2014, Gallup found:

If Blacks were as afraid of the police as some folks claim, then they wouldn’t commit nearly as much crime as they do.
In my NE City - every time there’s a drive-by shooting, or “youths” pummeling some resident for the money, etc... The news always interview the local folk in the neighborhood (mainly black) - all complaining about how they don’t see police often enough.

That why they call 911 when their fast food order is wrong or KFC runs out of fried chicken on special sale or somebody steals their dope?

Also, the fact that they continually push the envelope with violent acts of protest, right under the nose of the riot police, shows they have no real fear of the police going wild and killing them for fun.
I don’t believe the contributing factor to disparate levels of trust in law enforcement are rooted in skin color so much as individual criminal behavior and the accompanying guilt when encountering a law enforcement officer.
This bears repeating. My next door neighbor is great guy who fits none of the stereotypes. He's a hard working single dad who is raising 4 polite, well mannered boys and goes out of his way to help his neighbors. I doubt Jesse and Al speak for him.
