Under exactly what legal authority would any of those agencies have to order Sony to do such a thing?

Under exactly what legal authority would any of those agencies have to order Sony to do such a thing?Perhaps I should have put that word in quotation marks. The government may not have the authority to *order* such a thing but you can be sure that government officials could remind Sony of the unpleasant consequences of failing to comply.
Also consider the Japanese government.Japan is,understandably, even more frightened of NK than we are.Who knows what powers Japan might have over a huge multinational corporation headquartered in Tokyo!

The same legal authority that imposes a hefty fine on you if you don’t have provable health care.
