Merely traveling adds to one’s freedom? Even Adolf had a tourism bureau, remember (Kraft durch Freude), which the first Volkswagens were named after.
And under a terrorist regime, you aren’t really free even if they let you travel there and go home. They know that the USA’s going the same way as they are.
