No, you can vote in Michigan as long as you aren’t in jail, prison, on parole or probation. They do have to ask for an ID but if you don’t show one when you vote you have to sign an affidavit.
I’ve been doing some digging on this story and it really looks like he and his supporters are just screeching for attention. They’re also angry because we have a secretary of state and attorney general who actively pursue charges in vote fraud cases.
There was absolutely no evidence to convict Pinkney, and, legally, the altering of a petition document should have been a misdemeanor offense. Instead, they charged him with felony forgery - though no signatures were forged and all signatories testified that they signed willingly on the correct day.
That seems to stretch the credulity of the justice system there a bit thin.
The same crap happens to white people for similar level bullcrap (think EPA violations and similar). Just because there's currently a big dog and pony show going on over s*** like Ferguson and the cigarette seller and the subject is probably a progressive libtard, doesn't mean we can't objectively look at what appears to at least be a torturing of justice in his conviction and sentencing.
