If someone is still holding the knife they used to murder someone when officers arrive, I’m good with the whole skipping of commands and just going with shooting.
Splitting hairs over the language of the commands is someone trying to profit off of the murder of the student. I’m also good with charges and prosecution of accessory to murder after the fact.
In a Spanish speaking country, ignoring a cop with his gun drawn will get you dead. Driving through a police checkpoint because you misunderstood the cop will get you dead. Trying to take a gun away from a cop will get you dead. Assaulting a cop whether or not you are armed will get you dead.
Actually, all of the above are pretty much true whatever language the cops speak, and whatever language the perp speaks.
Well, what did this murderous illegal think the cops were saying to him? He had just killed a person . . .
If they have reason to believe the person only speaks Spanish and they can manage it without putting themselves in danger, why not?
Gee, wouldn’t speaking to an alleged killer with a blood dripping blade in Spanish because of his appearance be rampant ethnic ‘profiling’? Cops can’t do that and meet the PC guidelines of liberals can they?
Of course, I suspect that most criminals, even in stressful situations, could read the signs of danger in body language if they see a number of police officers shouting at them and holding guns in a ready to shoot position. I guarantee you if I was in a similar situation in Mexico, even if I didn’t understand Spanish, I’d be hugging the ground—unless I was crazy or wanted to commit suicide by cop.
Let me get this straight. An illegal Mexican immigrant stabs to death an American citizen at random and media commies whine about how the illegal could have been saved by Spanish speaking cops.
The only one fretting about this language issue is the media doing what they always do, which is making or placing seeds of doubt that are intended to make the bad guys victims. Look at it this way the cops saved taxpayers many thousands to put this guy on trial and his subsequent incarceration.
The media and authorities should do a forensic analysis how this illegal got into the USA and then got a job and every other aspect that brought him to this point when he killed this kid. The employer should get his butt sued off too.. Instead of examining the real issue they bring up cops speaking the wrong language.
Simple Liberal solution for this. Just have an interpreter, a lawyer, a medic and a social worker ride along in every police car. More taxpayer dollars required. Oh..wait!...bigger vehicles to transport all of that. Better get to work you taxpaying lackeys!
The one encouragement I have is that this idiocy just can’t go on much longer. Can it?
