War on Poverty failed because we rewarded the wrong behavior—Paying people to NOT work undermines the linchpin of civilization—keeping them in poverty and taking away their dignityonly leads to crime. No wonder it failed. Haiti could work if Jobs were there and lots of hard work. The place may well need a fear inducing Tyrant dictator, or a hated foreign overlord—in time, when the “foreign aid” runs out, they will get one or the other. Haitians need a national leader who will inspire them—lets hope they find him someday soon. He will be an idealist not a race hussler.
