Lets get one thing clear right from the start: That 500-page summary of the Senate Intelligence Committees lengthy and expensive investigation of the CIAs use of enhanced interrogation techniques doesnt come close to being a fair and objective account.
No, its a highly partisan document that will probably help our nations enemies a lot more than it will benefit us.
The study took more than five years to complete and cost taxpayers an estimated $40 million. And in all of that time, and with all of that money, the investigators somehow never found the time to interview any of the top officials at the CIA about the program or its results.
The report is so one-sided that not a single Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee would sign off on the thing. No wonder that, after sitting on the results for more than two years, Committee Chairwoman Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) decided to release it now. Next month, the Republicans will take over the Senate; she will no longer be in charge of things.
The report contends that the brutal techniques used against some detainees, including sleep deprivation and water-boarding, never yielded any valuable intelligence. Moreover, it says that the CIA deliberately misled Congress, the White House and the American people about what it was doing and the results it was getting.
But according to several top CIA officials, including those appointed by Barack Obama, this is simply not true. Former director George Tenet said in response, We know that the program led to the capture of al-Qaida leaders and took them off the battlefield, that it prevented mass casualty attacks and that it save thousands of American lives.
John Brennan, another Obama appointee to head the CIA, admits the agency made some mistakes and says it has learned from them. But he also insists that the coercive techniques did produce intelligence that helped thwart attack plans, capture terrorists and save lives.
Well never get the two sides to agree on the results we got or whether the techniques used were worth it. But in all of the hullabaloo were hearing now, there are some points that have to be made.
First, the use of such enhanced interrogation techniques was legal. They were authorized by President George W. Bush and supported by his Justice Department. In fact, after repeated investigations by the current administration, Eric Holders Justice Department did not file charges against anyone in the CIA for using them. We make not like this, but its true.
Second, lets keep in mind that in the aftermath of 9/11 most Americans were overwhelmingly in favor of doing whatever was necessary to get information from our enemies. More than 3,000 Americans had just been murdered in the attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon. A lot of us wanted revenge against the people who planned these atrocities.
Third, in conducting war against the jihadists who would destroy us, we continue to use measures that are far from what anyone would call a fair fight. Are the drone strikes that Obama has authorized, which have killed many innocent civilians along with identified terrorists, really more humane than how we questioned detainees a decade ago?
And finally, what do we gain by airing all of this now? Obama has said, These techniques did significant damage to Americas standing in the world and made it harder to pursue our national interests with allies and partners.
Even if all of that is true, I contend that releasing this biased and unfair report now will cause even more problems with our allies and partners, while it will encourage our enemies.
Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Jim Risch (R-Idaho) issued a joint statement that spelled out just how much damage could result from this so-called terror report:
We are concerned that this release could endanger the lives of Americans overseas, jeopardize U.S. relations with foreign partners, potentially incite violence, create political problems for our allies, and be used as a recruitment tool for our enemies. Simply put, this report is reckless and irresponsible.
Yes, and it also happens to be highly biased and untrue. No wonder the mainstream media love it.
According to Democrats and Mr. "I want it both ways" Obamal, it is indefensible to treat terrorist killers harshly, but quite another matter to launch a Hell Fire Missile on a wedding party killing dozens of innocent people in order to KILL one terrorist.
Maybe you have to be a Democrat to understand.
Make certain the terrorist killer has his sucky blanket and his pacifier before you play re-runs of Mr. Rogers in order to wring information out of him.
I contend that releasing this biased and unfair report now will cause even more problems with our allies and partners, while it will encourage our enemies.
Isn’t this the very reason the Patriot Act was signed into Law?? To go after people like this??
Isn’t this the very reason the CIA has the Power of Extraordinary Rendition? To go after people like this?
“”The study took more than five years to complete and cost taxpayers an estimated $40 million””
Feinstein told Wolf Blitzer Tuesday night that the CIA spent $40 million TO STOP THE INVESTIGATION. She brought up the figure. He didn’t. It will be interesting to find out she is lying AGAIN!
Back in Sept 2014, intel head Di/Fi was whining about the CIA looking through her computers and taking documents. Clearly, the CIA had plenty on her----even BEFORE the shocking Chi/Com missile scandal broke.
BACKSTORY: Di/Fi's known aversion to guns did not prevent her from honoring Cali's Raymond Chow---the key figure in Demorat state Sen Leland Yee's, shocking missile deal w/ China (Yee is a notorious gun-grabber stateside).
INCONVENIENT FACTOIDS:
<><>Feinstein heads the Senate Intel Committee;
<><> Her hubby Richard Blum made million as the lawyer for Chinese interests;
<><> gun-grabber Leland Yee knew where to get missiles, launchers, machine-guns etc;
<><> Raymond Chow was jailed, then freed when he professed to be a really nice guy.... honored by Di/Fi for working with local Chinese youths.
====================================================
EVERYBODY KNOWS THE DI/FI STORY COULD DWARF YEE'S ARMS DEAL: Taxpayers demand and investigation of Di/Fi's intel activities. <><> Did Di use her access to valuable US security data improperly? <><> Hubby Richard Blum made millions in China deals in past years. How'd he do that? <><> Is hubby cutting new deals w/ the Chi/Coms?
===============================================
ARE THE CLINTONS INVOLVED?----THIS DI/FI HILLARY SUCK-UP WAS VERY INSTRUCTIVE---DI even dropped the term "foreign policy" In my view, shes in the prime of her political life. Shes got the energy. Shes articulate. Shes got the background. Shes got the smarts. She has all of the elements of a good leader plus the fact, and this is not to be underestimated, she is enormously attractive to people, she said on CNN's "State of the Union." And she carries the torch for women who are the majority of votes in this country, very strongly and very high.
Hillary's hefty income includes:
Hualuo CEO Forum (Spouse) Shanghai, China $550,000
Telefonaktiebolagel LM Ericsson AB (Spouse) Hong Kong, China $750,000
==============================================
WHAT DO DI/FI, HER HUBBY, HARRY REID, YEE, LEE AND CHOW KNOW ABOUT THIS?
Then-Pres Clinton inevitably pursued his own political advantage at the expense of American interests and national security.
Here's just one of the endless examples: the Clintons cupidity is well-documented---shows Clinton and the Democrats took illegal campaign money from groups and individuals tied directly to the Chinese Peoples Republican Army. It is therefore not surprising that In January 1998 Clinton went against the advice of then-Secretary of State Warren Christopher and Pentagon experts by lifting long-standing restrictions against the export of American satellites to China for launch on Chinese rockets.
Not only did then-pres Clinton move control over such decisions from the more security-focused State Department to the Commerce Department, but he intervened in a Justice Department investigation of Loral Space & Communications, retroactively enabling Loral to sell critical missile technology to the Chinese.
Interestingly enough, Clintons decision was made at the request of Loral CEO Bernard Schwartz, whose earlier $1.3 million campaign donation made him the single biggest contributor to the Democratic election effort.
The result? Democrats got money from satellite companies and from Chinese communists; China got supercomputors, advanced production equipment and missile technology; Loral got its satellites launched at bargain basement prices . . . and the transfer of sensitive missile technology gave China [for the first time] the capability of depositing bombs on American cities.
Incidentally, Loral ultimately failed to benefit from this permanent injury to Americas security interests: in July 2003, the company filed for bankruptcy protection, and in order to raise cash was forced to sell its most profitable business a fleet of communications satellites orbiting over North America.

When Dubya was first elected and heading to the job, the Clinton staff people were destroying the offices and damaging equipment. This release of the Terror Report is basically the same thing. Pooping all over the place on their way out. Communists have no class. (pun intended)
WAKE UP-CALL The Clintons have received zillions from the Chi/Coms---we all assumed it was going to their three tax-exempt foundations. Now here's another angle (think money-laundering, and kickbacks).
The Harry Reid connection to the tax-exempt "Clinton Global Initiative" foundation needs to be investigated.
PUT ON YOUR TINFOIL HATS TO CONNECT THE DOTS:
(1) Harry Reid's son Rory is in business w/ the Chi/Coms on a multi-billion dollar solar energy project; Cliven Bundy and his land are standing in the way.
(2) Reports say Bill Clinton recently went to China to panhandle for his tax-exempt "Clinton Global Initiative" foundation.
(3) The "Clinton Global Initiative" (NOT KNOWN for giving out grants)---gave Harry Reid's granddaughter a grant for a Brooklyn, NY theatre she runs (what is a Brooklyn theatre's connection to "global initiatives?")
(4) A Nevada energy company also gave Reid's granddaughter's theatre group a grant.
================================================
"Money laundering" comes to mind. Could the Chinese be financing the Reid's solar project through donations to theClinton Foundations....which is then laundered to Reid's granddaughter?
================================================
REFERENCE----HARRY REID IS LIVID THAT HIS GRAND-DAUGHTER HAS BEEN OUTED AS A RECIPIENT OF LAUNDERED CAMPAIGN CASH---Reid lashed out at reporters, saying, My granddaughter has been the target of harassing phone calls, strangers tracking her down, knocking on her door and negative, unwanted attention on the Internet. This has gone too far and it needs to stop now, Reid said. I deeply regret any role I had in creating this situation but now, as a grandparent, I say enough is enough.
============================================
Besides the "jewelry company" financed by her grandfather, Ryan Elisabeth Reid runs the Sprat Theater Company, a small theater in Brooklyn, which is also coming under scrutiny. According to Sprats Theatre Company Web site, it has received grants/contributions from:
<><> the Clinton Global Initiative (connected to global terrorism via Muslim Brotherhood employee),
<><> two major Las Vegas foundations:
Caesars Foundation, and the NV Energy Foundation.
NOTE NV Energy Foundation---is a non-profit division of NV Energy (a public utility). The NV Energy utility is a subsidiary of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company which took over in 2013....and is now owned by a Warren Buffet unit.
