Health Overhaul: Jonathan Gruber isn't the only one who got rich off ObamaCare. Several big government contractors are raking in megabucks to help the government take over the nation's health care system.
Gruber made news when it came to light that the Obama administration had paid the stupid-American-calling MIT economist roughly $400,000 to help build ObamaCare, and several states paid him big bucks as well to build their exchanges.
But this is just the tip of the ObamaCare bonanza.
In the last fiscal year, Health and Human Services spent $21 billion on contracts with private firms. That's more than it spent on ObamaCare exchange subsidies ($17 billion), or new Medicaid enrollees ($20 billion), the Congressional Budget Office reports.
And this largesse is climbing. Fast.
A report from Kaiser Health News finds that spending on HHS contracts has shot up more than 50% since 2008. Compared with a decade ago, it's up 148%.
Defense Department contracts, in contrast, are down since 2004 and by nearly 40% since 2008.

What do these contractors do and who are they? All with ties to congress critters like Mike Rogers’ wife??? Seriously. Who hands out these contracts? Over whose signature?
The term for this is fascism. In exchange for guaranteed profits and indemnity from prosecution and civil suits, corporations enable and support the ruling elite politicians. They are given quid pro quo in directed business and any illegality and ethical transgressions are overlooked by the ruling party.
This the the business and political model for Democrats and has become quite blatant in its implementation in our country. The Republicans are not pure as the driven snow in this practice, but they are rank amateurs in comparison with the party of corruption and organized criminal activity. Republicans occasionally let their moral standards guide their political decisions and policy making.
The sweetheart deals that are going on in HHS are largely reserved to the big companies that are also the big donors. My little company slugs it out for the crumbs that fall off the table and we compete like hell for whatever business we can get, which is what I am doing in the office right now and will continue into the wee hours. ‘Night all.
“ObamaCare Is Funneling Billions To Defense Contractors”
Of course it is. Why should we expect anything less?
Bump
The Congress had better stop the monster. The states need to seceed from the union if the pubs join the dems in their usual buisness as usual bad for Americans way.
