Songs of the South
New York Post ^ | December 7, 2014 | New York Post (editorial board)

Asked why President Obama was so unpopular in Louisiana, Landrieu had responded: “The South has not always been the friendliest place for African-Americans.

It’s been a difficult time for the president to present himself in a very positive light as a leader. It’s not always been a good place for women to present ourselves. It’s more of a conservative place.”

So because the South is conservative, it’s hostile to women and black candidates? Try telling that to South Carolina Republicans Nikki Haley and Tim Scott.

This is the MSM meme now, O’Reilly and Kelly talking about right now: America hates women and it’s open season to kill blacks. (We already know they think we’re all racists anti gay-haters).

LA's state senator Elbert Gullory is black:

It must come as news to him Republicans in the South are racist because he is one.

What a load of crap. Blatant bigotry and actual racism is very evident in the North-— they only love blacks in the abstract for political points and goals... not in reality.

Long interactions between blacks and whites in the South has developed an empathy and understanding among educated whites anyway (not machine democrap trash like Landrieu and her dope dealing mob pals in New Orleans).

Women in the South? Buddy they run a hell of lot of things. And can’t stand the politico types like Landreiu and her political silver spoon ladeling cash in her pockets for generations from poor people. A female Huey Long.

I suppose all the BLACK Southerners and women don’t count? Or are they among those who hate and fear blacks and women?

"It’s not always been a good place for women to present ourselves."

And yet she herself was elected once, and re-elected twice. Why wasn't it "....a good place....." when those elections were ongoing???

unlike NY, we in the south don’t worship arrogant, incompetent, narcissistic morons just because of their race.

Bobby Jindahl's skin is darker than that of Barry Soetoro. So much for the color of skin debate.

It is ideology. Southerners have had their fill of liberal politics.

I would like the man on the left as a neighbor but do not want the other one in the state. He looks like he thinks he is above everyone else. Just my $.02.

I saw a photo of one of these apologist writers the other day.
He looked so much like Uncle Remus, you could almost see the bluebird poop on his shoulder.
