Michael Schaus is a talk radio host, the Associate Editor for Townhall Finance, and the executive producer for Ransom Notes Radio. He is a writer, artist, and political humorist. I read that puffery at the website too. “journalism” and “financial services” are not industries.

The latter barely qualifies as a sector of the economy.

The former is a catch-all for people who haven’t the ability nor firmness of character to do something more useful.

“Construction” might qualify in the strictest sense, but I submit that working in that sector may not qualify the author to make sense of the gun industry - which predates every other industrial activity in this nation.

If an author “... with a deep understanding of what it means to be an American conservative” can bungle so thoroughly - and forum members can defend his blunders (in preference to actually learning something) - perhaps the lot of us ought to rethink the utility of conservatism.
