My aunt was teaching in a black school in NJ. The day after the election, children came to school crying. When my aunt asked them what happened, they said that now they would have to go back to Africa.
Their elected leaders (Democrats) told their parents that is Reagan was elected, they would get shipped back. This was “motivation” to go out and vote for Jimmy.
