Sony hack: Signs point to North Korea

We can't say for sure, but the evidence in the Sony Pictures hack is increasingly pointing to North Korea, according to several security experts.
The attack is similar to last year's raid on South Korean banks and telecoms -- one that the country's intelligence officials attributed to the North Korean government.
Here are the latest findings from security researchers at antivirus maker Kaspersky.
Hackers destroyed data on Sony Pictures computers with the same kind of digital weapon used against South Korea.
The malware was built using Korean language -- an odd choice. Most hackers use English or Russian.
And the creepy message that popped up on Sony Pictures employees' computers has the same style -- colors, human skeletons, misspellings -- as those used against South Korea.
"Those are striking similarities," said Kaspersky researcher Kurt Baumgartner. "When you put all of that together, there's an actor that becomes more clear."

I looked it up, and “The Interview”, which the Norks have called “evil”, was done by Columbia Pictures...a division of Sony Pictures.

The government has computers and hackers. All provided by China.
Usually this happens because there is a complicit systems adminstrator.
Again, human behavior is probably the enabler. Not some kind of wizardry.
Disgruntled,blackmailed,greedy, or ideologically asinine employee or contractor could pop in a USB stick in a moment.
It is amazing how many companies management has no idea of the vulnerabilities of the systems which are vital to the company.

You can not tell me Sony, Japan or us do not have hackers that could make the Norks collapse?
I worked with a asian guy who was a system admin who left to work for Sony here in the Los Angeles area.... hmmm
Never did ask him if supported the south or the north : )
I figured they would have hacked Paramount, since they produced “Team America.”
I've been granted the keys to many Kingdoms. I'm safe.
I worked with national laboratories. If there were visits by foreign nationals we had to double up escorting them around.
It will take concentric rings of access, where the center ring is the most trusted and verifies the honesty of the next outside ring.
Many large companies are not sophisticated to implement this.
