In Mississippi, Lott said, GOP leaders are working to repair damage from GOP Sen. Thad Cochran's bruising re-election race against Republican state Sen. Chris McDaniel, a tea party favorite who lost to Cochran in a GOP primary runoff.

Lott said McDaniel "would have come up here and teamed up with Ted Cruz and been nothing but a troublemaker. We didn't need that.'' Cruz, a senator from Texas and a hero to the tea party, was a driving force behind the October 2013 government shutdown.

I used to feel sorry for the way Lott shown the door. Now I’m glad they kicked him out. If Trent and Haley don’t repent, may they both burn for their lying, cheating, hate filled ways. And may more “troublemakers” come to the Senate.

The dried up GOPe favorite, Thad Cochran. Will certainly not be a troublemaker, but he will always be remembered as a cheater. In the good old days of defending honor, a duel would have been fought and Cochran would have been retired.
Trent Lott doesn’t even come close to the integrity of Ted Cruz. Other than Ronald Reagan, my vote for Ted Cruz is the best vote I’d ever cast. Proud of this guy.
By the way, it was said that Trent Lott refused to convict Slick Willey because the Clinton’s had several hundred confidential FBI files in the residence of the white house, one of which told of a story Trent Lott had frequented a young male prostitute. Juss sayin

The GOPE whores brought Lott out of retirement to throw spears at the Cruiz. That way they can keep some distance and not appear to be directly responsible for the attacks.

maybe that’s why they called out the dogs on Lott, and when W won instead of Gore in 2000, Lott did his kumbaya let’s share power because that’s what he was told to do...or else. Nothing makes sense any more as to why winners act like losers and losers act like winners. Why did the good doctor from Tennessee leave the Senate so quickly, too?

Are you confusing Lott with Richard Shelby of AL? Lott was always a Republican in Congress and in the Senate. Shelby changed parties somewhere in the 90s.
The Democrats threatened to “out” him. He was a cheerleader at Ol’ Miss, and the rumor was (I was in WDC at the time) that he had had a homosexual encounter while a student there. That is also why he killed the Clinton trial in the Senate.
He has always been like this. The difference between him and Bill Clinton is that he comes from east of the Mississippi, and is not as likable.
