Boys have always behaved like boys. The only difference is that now they have some competition for the best jobs, and they are not accustomed to that.
Women can pay their own way. They don't have to put up with bad behavior in order to live in a state better than poverty.
I'm 64. Most of my male age-peers were pretty sorry men, but adequate boys. I liked working with them, but couldn't understand why anyone would marry most of them.
Some decades back I decided I could live without sharing space with a guy who didn't bath routinely (putting on a clean shirt & suit over the dirt), allowed his hair to get so greasy it looked wet, lied to me...I am so happy since I left that all behind.

I remember some years ago, my hubby (of nearly 34 years) told me about a group of men he worked with complaining about their wives/girlfriends. He said to them, “you guys are lucky you found anyone to marry you”.
