Constitutional expert and syndicated talk show host Mark Levin said at an American Legislative Exchange Council summit in Washington, D.C., that the Republican leadership likes amnesty and has sold out the voters.
CNSNews.com asked Levin, Senator Sessions has said that Congress has the power of the purse when it comes to Obamas executive actions. Do you think that Republicans would vote no on a CR that would fund any executive actions regarding immigration?
No I think the Republican leadership likes amnesty, Levin responded. I think the Republican leadership has sold out the voters, and I think right now as I understand it theyre working with the left and the Democrat Party in the House to cobble together a majority and fund Obamas unconstitutional amnesty. So I think its a complete disgrace.
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) released a statement the same day that President Obama announced his executive order regarding immigration, saying that not only does his executive amnesty violate the law but the way to stop it is to use Congress power of the purse.
President Obamas executive amnesty violates the laws Congress has passed in order to create and implement laws Congress has refused to pass, Sessions said. This amnesty plan was rejected by the American peoples Congress. By refusing to carry out the laws of the United States in order to make his own, the president is endangering our entire constitutional order.
The presidents unconstitutional action is a direct threat to our Republican system of government and will have catastrophic consequences for the American people, Sessions said. It must be stopped, and the way to stop it is by using Congress power of the purse. The House should send the Senate a government funding bill which ensures no funds can be spent for this unlawful purpose.

This is the last chance for the Republicans to get it right.
If they blow it, they cease to be a legitimate alternative to the DIMS.
I held my nose for the last time on NOV 4.
Yeah, but who saw this coming? /s
Welcome Everyone - Our New Lords of the Land - we are all now servants -— the 2014 Elections have amounted to ...?
Either they de-fund this administration or are complacent in the total erasure of what should be a Republic!
So tell me Mr. Arch conservative constitutional lawdog, WTF EXACTLY did you suppose would happen when you encouraged people to vote RINO in 12 because the Dem was worse? How about the direct result of that last month when lots of people ALSO used your words then as justification to empower yet more liberalism in the GOP?
Did you suppose that the GOP would see the record setting support they got and think “No, this is bad. We are clearly doing something wrong moving left”?
The important question going ahead is “Are you gonna make that same bush league mistake again?” Because the alternative is that you did it on purpose.
TLDR: THIS is what happens when you vote for ‘lesser evil’. you get it’s big brother.
As a conservative, Constitution loving, gun owning Christian, I acknowledge that the Republican party has abandoned me. They will not get a dime or a vote from me. Election day is like any other.
What we’re seeing is verification of what we thought. No opposition to the one party that now rules America. We’ve been Grubered from within, soon to be from without.
” So tell me Mr. Arch conservative constitutional lawdog, WTF EXACTLY did you suppose would happen when you encouraged people to vote RINO in 12 because the Dem was worse? “
Whatsa Matta U ?
With Romney, you get immediate amnesty
With Obama, you get it 2 years later.
Why you look’a so sad? It’a not so bad...It’s a nice’a place! ;)
And then he goes on radio and TV and tells us to do the opposite of that by electing more RINOs because the dem is worse.
Reality shows that the Dem is NOT worse.
But we can count on him to front for tea party issues until the GOP secures the primary. At which point he has a track record of abandoning principle to push the GOP candidate ‘no matter what’. It does not seem to faze his conservatism that he contributed mightily to the election of the very people he now, safely, bitches about.
There was no tingle down my leg when the recent elections gave us the Senate. Notice how Boehner & McConnell have been acting since day one? Yeah, you noticed.
As usual, you, me an a few others. Most ‘conservative’ (cough) idiots went right back to Stockholm Syndrome. Which is why continuing to try with these lobotomites is akin to insanity in and of itself.
If I had a lick of sense I’d simply walk away and let them self immolate. But I enjoy their self inflicted misery too damn much and really don’t want to live in their vision of ‘America’ (Which has more in common with a bad sitcom or masochistic bondage porn than the one George and the boys put together). There is also a parallel universe neutrino of hope, theoretically, though no evidence manifests, that one day enough of them will wake up to reality. So for now, it’s still worth some effort. That however, is a failing commodity.
” masochistic bondage porn “
LOL!
