He’s probably not covered under insurance either. They exclude everything except fire, started accidentally.

That will teach store owners not to call the cops for a simple robbery.

I was thinking he shouldn't say anything until the insurance had been paid out. But you may be right that he either doesn't have insurance or it doesn't cover the loss of inventory from the riots.

This is part of two concerns I have for Natalie's Bakery in Ferguson. If it gets torched again, she likely isn't covered. The other concern is with more business owners deciding not to rebuild in and around Ferguson, who will be able to afford Natalie's bakery items (other than with a five finger discount)?

Yep. You can rebuild the structure and the interior, but the stock isn't free. And given that this is the third time, I have a hunch those premiums might just go up a bit to cover a fourth.

I’m not sure if it was the store owner that called 911. I think it was a helpful customer.

I might not be remembering this correctly.
