It could be done. Our Constitution doesn’t mention parties, much less sanction them. And the Electoral College system will work just dandy without them.
Speaking of political parties, if George Washington said this, apparently he could see fairly far into the future from where he was standing at the time.
Can't say we weren't warned if true...we were warned by the original and still the best:
