SWAT raids are now topping an estimated 80k a year, with the bar criteria for one going low enough that an ant has to duck. Numerous wrong house raids, and raids on minimal information. One family got raided because of tea leaves in the trash. Why in the world would you think people don’t need to be concerned? And it isn’t simply that ‘rare’(not really all that rare) mistaken raid. It is their entire attitude behind it. All is well, so long as a cop isn’t harmed. Everyone else is nothing at all.
Sensationalism? What is sensationalism is the arguments cops make to justify this kind of paramilitary activity. Everyone and their brother becomes a ‘deadly threat’, if cops want to use SWAT. Why don’t you address cop sensationalism too? And this is not sensationalism, this is a real event, once again showcasing how unprofessional LE has become. Anyone else acting this incompetently in their profession would be charged for it. He, by being SWAT, is claiming to be an expert at handling his weapons, and then fails to do so properly. This deserves an angry response.
This cop acted incompetently, and without regard for harming others. He then clearly lied, trying to protect himself.

Why not save your anger for someone who is guilty of real crimes instead of a poster trying to express her opinions on this site? Isn't this the FR where we are allowed to express ourselves without having to deal with folks like you who get ANGRY over an opinion?
You need a life if my simple FR post angers you to this point; you really do. This is a WAY over the top reaction.

I get angry over stupid opinions that suggest cops should not be accountable for their mistakes, and careless choices.

I get angry because idiots make it too easy for cops to screw up, because those same idiots don’t see any need to question cops.

I get angry when pigs, and I mean just that, harm people and never learn from their mistakes. They just whitewash and repeat, because there is almost never a price for the officers to pay. Cops don’t fear making mistakes. They’ve gotten careless, even with the most violent form of LE activity.

And if you don’t want people to respond to your post, don’t make them. People like you make it easy for cops to make mistakes like this, and never face consequences for it. YOU are the reason this happens so much. If not for your kind, these SWAT raids would have been reigned in. But because it isn’t you and yours, you don’t care what they do to others.
