“The NFL should fine these punks”

I don’t want them fined. Let them continue to show their racism and hatred towards white fans.

Of course you’ll still get 75% of the white fans who will continue to idolize them and support them.

Like it or not it is free speech in action, and no way anyone should be punished for exercising their right to free speech. You can speak by not buying tickets but sanctions are a chill we don’t need.

Of course Brown did not have his hands in the air when he was shot.

it’s the same! Both (college/pro) have been corrupted to the core. And America continues to raise kids to idolize these athletes.

‘...no way anyone should be punished for exercising their right to free speech.” Nonsense! Evidently you have swallowed the PC koolaid. The business to which these retarded freaks are aligned should have every right to set standards for conduct and punish those who blatantly violate those standards. I’m retired now for a few years, but every company I worked for would fire/punish someone who cussed the boss openly. One could be fired for ‘unbecoming conduct’, too.

"Like it or not it is free speech in action, and no way anyone should be punished for exercising their right to free speech."

The First Amendment protects from government sanction for expressing an opinion the government disapproves of. However your employers is free to terminate, fine or otherwise punish you for expressing an opinion it finds offensive.

Idiots. But then, so are the owners and the executives.

The entire NFL is a joke.

“and no way anyone should be punished for exercising their right to free speech.”

They don’t own the NFL, so they don’t get to enjoy unrestricted speech when employed by the NFL.

No, it is not “free speech.” They were in uniform, on the clock. They were employees at work. They represent their employers and have no right to speak on controversial issues in these circumstances.

Though they may (probably) ‘think’ it, can’t just believe one would EVER see a bunch of cops WHITE and/or BLACK, in uniform, using Police Vehicles etc holding a parade or money raiser for Wilson OR building a ‘memorial’ for him outside his District HQ.

If one were to ‘see’ the above scenario, you can imagine there would be much disciplining and change of job in the immediate future.

The morning of the next home game, the SL cops simply announce that they will not be working the game that day. See what happens when a few idiots storm the gates to get in or jump onto the field...and nothing happens to them... 50-50 chance the game doesn’t start the 2nd half.

This was orchestrated with full knowledge of the management and team members; most likely with the television station. So it is not just the really stupid players. It is a platform where the useful idiots are paraded before the public.

Prime example of the “too stupid” American voters.

Assuming the league or team management weren't also in on it, anyway.

Either way, however, the police are agents of the government, and have no right to tell them what to say.

Police officers, as individuals and not in an official capacity, have every right to also express their opinions. The same right NFL players have when they are not acting as official representatives of their employers.
