Well ... if they have graduated up to birds, it seems as though they are getting smarter; I'll give them that.

Maybe we could ship a whole bunch of ALF types to the area and watch the fun begin.

Homing pigeons is the answer...: )
To: SandRat
PETA wouldn’t care — they would say the animal died a good death killing people who wanted to cook it for dinner.

For having been exploded, there is sure a lot left to this bird, like all of it. What next, mice with firecrackers?

What species is that? I mean I may need to be extra careful if I decide to go for a Big Year in 2015.

the bird in those photos was no where near a “considerable explosion”

Well, it’s a lot cheeper ;-) than drones. Historical note, Persians did use homing pigeons for message sending if I remember correctly. Is this a Birdstastrophe?

What next, mice with firecrackers? In the movie "Wanted", a truckload of hundreds of rats each with attached bombs were set loose on a warehouse of enemy combatants.

That does not look like a carcass in which a considerable explosion occurred. Also, taking out a flying bird by rifle? Possible, but difficult.

That looks like a trained falcon. Prominent leg band, radio tracker (not a GPS device attached to its head), I have seen this setup before on falcons or other domesticated raptor.
