A new potential source of trouble is brewing out in the eastern Mediterranean — one that could not only undermine Putin’s efforts to rebuild Russia’s influence in the Middle East, but his current strong hand in Europe.

The threat: Israel’s recently discovered offshore gas deposits — one of the biggest global finds of the past decade. Those fields, dubbed Tamar and Leviathan, promise Israel an unprecedented degree of energy independence and a lucrative export market to its Arab neighbors, including Egypt and Jordan. And they threaten to challenge Russian energy giant Gazprom’s dominance of the European gas market...

With falling oil prices, Natural Gas is Russia's only "Ace in the hole". Israel's Tamar and Leviathan natural gas fields, the largest in the world, threaten the Russian economy more than any other threat. This could be the "hook in the nose" that drive Putin into the Middle East.

The Bible Predicts that that Russia in the last days will make one last push to control world events. The prophet Ezekiel, in Ezekiel 38-39, predicted 2500 years ago that the country to the extreme north of Israel, Magog, would lead a coalition invasion of Israel and Palestine. The coalition would be led by a strong ruler who Ezekiel called Gog (Putin is a good candidate with his 80% approval rating). Among the nations that Gog would muster are the following; Iran, Turkey, Trans-caucus States, Sudan, and Libya.

Ezekiel goes on to predict that this invasion will be disastrous for Russia and its coalition nations. G-d himself shall send earthquakes, pestilence, and other natural disasters causing all the coalition nations to fight each other until all are almost destroyed...

I think you have given me links before on this topic, but I have forgotten: What exactly will happen to the United States in all of this? We will be just sitting back drinking our coffee while this happens? Or will we be gone at this point, perhaps victims of a nuclear war or something like that?

This gas discovery has been known about for several years. Israel has granted drilling rights to Texas based Noble Energy and partners Delek Drilling, Avner Oil Exploration and Ratio Oil Exploration. The first production deal is to send natural gas to Jordan and will bring in up to $15 billions over a number of years.

I was told some time 35 to 40 years ago that the reason we were fighting in Vietnam and Israel in Lebanon was that there were off shore oil deposits of some size. I had a Secret clearance back then and knew some people with interesting contacts.

No one knows exactly why the United States is not in Bible Prophecy, but given current events it is possible that the following scenarios could occur:

1. Yellowstone Blows leaving half of America Destroyed and rendering us ineffective
2. We are pre-emptively nuked by Russia rendering us ineffective
3. Economic Collapse leaving us ineffective
4. Second civil war leaving us ineffective
5. Multiple or all of the above occur rendering us ineffective

One thing most Bible scholars agree on is that America is more guilty of sin in G-d's eyes than the rest of the world. No other country has had Billy Graham, Bibles, Churches on every corner...;-(

Very possible. The prophet Isaiah prophesied that Israel would make a "Covenant with Death" for peace and security. It is this agreement that causes the "Abomination of Desolation" the Jesus spoke about where the Anti-Christ takes over Israel and proclaims himself as G-d. Only a disarmed Israel would allow this to happen...

Here is what is amazing about this gas/oil discovery. When Moses prophesied over the tribes of Israel before he died, he made this amazing prophecy!

Deut 33:24 - And of Asher he said , Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.

The land allocated to the tribe of Ashur is in the north of Israel around Haifa. Guess where the oil fields are located? You guessed it...off the coast of Haifa! G-d knows the beginning from the end!!!
