The violent protests in Ferguson, Mo., are part of the American experience. Peaceful protesting is a luxury only available to those safely in mainstream culture.
When a police officer shoots a young, unarmed black man in the streets, then does not face indictment, anger in the community is inevitable. Its what we do with that anger that counts. In such a case, is rioting so wrong?

Waiting for the FBI to pay Ms. Cunha here a visit for inciting and supporting violence....
this is basically a recognition among blacks that post Obama, people are finding it harder and harder to feel sorry for black people.
Ferguson hoopla is an attempt to renew their status as Historically Aggrieved Party.
Would she say this if conservatives were rioting about something, about some aspect of “mainstream culture” - Obamacare or gay marriage or abortion - to which they objected, and for which they are now in some cases receiving civil and criminal penalties? Hell, no.
Yeah, like MLK Jr.
Even the welfare set could at least get out there and wave signs around... these destructive tantrums are getting, like, OLD, bros of color.
"I've been searching for a long time for an alternative to riots on the one hand and timid supplication for justice on the other and I think that alternative is found in militant massive non-violence." - Martin Luther King, Jr., March 14, 1968, at Grosse Pointe High School
Indeed.
“But if you go talking about destruction, don’t you know that you can count me out.”
So, when a powerful Congresswoman says, “You have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it” and the people feel marginalized, we should riot?
When a black leader says, “elections have consequences, we won” and white people feel threatened, we should riot?
When the EPA shuts down a coal mine, should people riot?
Don’t know why people here like to point out what garbage, dieing mags say about anything.
Where is the anger over a street thug committing strong armed robbery, and then assaulting a cop and trying to get his gun?
Where is the anger about the thug then charging the cop again to give it another try?
Idolizing this punk is unconscionable.

I’m surprised they still bother to publish TIME.
This from the dingbat who drove her Mercedes Benz to pick up food stamps.
Wash Compost, post everything, 07/08/214
This little refrain so misdescribes what happened. Yet the dingbats and racial arsonists continue to use it.
