More regulations, more unjustified encroachment into the private sector, more illegal laws passed as administrative law by the executive branch, more reasons to demand every illegal federal administrative agency be abolished. At what point is enough enough, at what point are the Federal buffoons going too far? Answer: now! Stop this King George enslavement to an unaccountable bureaucracy!

By November 2015, these establishments will be forced to post calorie information on menus and menu boards, which opponents have argued is costly (representatives from the grocery store industry, for example, have said it will exceed $1 billion) and will have job-killing effects. Which means it's good for the economy!

Moochie told us why it all would take place:
"Barack knows that we are going to have to make sacrifices; we are going to have to change our conversation; we are going to have to change our traditions, our history.
We're going to have to move into a different place as a nation to provide the kind of future we all want desperately for our children."
So, sacrifice on good people.

You’re right about the encroachment into the private sector, but this isn’t a situation where the executive branch is illegally sidestepping Comgress bymaking administrative law - Congress required the FDA to make these rules, by law

The unintended consequence is that, increasingly, only large corporate chains will be able to operate restaurants. Mom and pop diners and bistros will slowly disappear.

Would it be safe to assume that the new calorie count will also have to be in Spanish?
Why not make all restaurants offer menus in every language?

That appears to be the case. Obamacare is the gift that just keeps on giving.

You know that started a long time ago.
All of the fancy five-star restaurants that the politicos and “shining-happy people” go to are just subsidiaries of conglomerates that are exempt from all this ‘common-people’ bother.

No, there are plenty of simple nutrition software programs that can easily calculate all the nutritional information. Personally, it will be nice to know a bit more about what is in the foods we get served.

Your having an app with nutrition information doesn’t negate the FDA requirements on the restaurant.
For now, only businesses with 20 or more locations are affected. Over the next few years, the FDA could easily lower that number to 10 or even 5 locations. Once they’re down to 5, what’s to stop them from requiring every restaurant to comply?

Ask the liberal progressive Obamabot at Thanksgiving how many calories are in his/her/? dish he/she/? is providing at the meal.
And keep those portions "sensible"! Michelle is watching.

Whatever happened to that law requiring regulators to cost justify new regs?
I guess they must have found a way to justify anything they want.
