Actually it wasn't. The total global freeze was caused by a leftist experiment gone drastically wrong that was supposed to combat global warming.........

With that being said, I thought it sucked........LOL!

I thought at the beginning of the movie they used jets to put thousands of contrails of crapola into the atmosphere and that caused global cooling.

It may not be identical to what the article is talking about, but it's the same basic principle.
