NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, stop for an angry mob...if they can get ahold of your car they can easily lift the drive wheels off the ground and your ass is history...keep moving at a reasonable rate say 15 mph while blowing your horn and DON’T STOP.....

45 years ago, I was involved in a similar incident, on Rt 1 in front of the University of Maryland campus. I turned left onto Rt 1 and ran right into a mob blocking the road (they were protesting the fact that the Administration would not close the school to give them time off to protest the invasion of the VC/NVA ‘sanctuaries’ in Cambodia, AIRC). I beeped my horn and tried to drive through, but had to stop. They busted up my car; the most aggressive ones were not students at UofMD, but persons who were seen and photographed at a number of disturbances that spring and for the next few years. I was about to get out of my car and remonstrate with them, when the biggest State Trooper I’ve ever seen blocked my car door (saving me from doing a very foolish thing), and then a line of Troopers in riot gear cleared the street and got me out of there.

A few hours later, a military vehicle collector brought his WWII M3 armored scout car down and ran a couple of passes through the crowd, which helped the State Police keep the road clear for a while.

A rally that blocks traffic requires a permit from the city.

These chuckleheads remind me of the “Critical Mass” AKA “massholes”.

I never understood how people think that intentionally blocking people from getting where they’re trying to go
is going to win people over to seeing them from their point of view.

Oh well.Being in the street led to the Gentle Giant getting his Darwin award. I guess he can be proud of that.

“Plowed”? If that were the case, many would be dead or dismembered. Biased reporting.

These people aren’t trying to make any kind of point. They are simply wild animals looking for an easy victim.

Just like a pack of wolves or maybe jackals is a better example. When they attack a zebra they are not trying to make a point, they are simply being what they are. Vicious animals.

Yes. He drove into the back of a crowd. There was no apparent threat to him before he did it. Other cars were driving just to his left through a corridor that, it looks like police were keeping open. He’s going to jail.
