If everything in the Brown incident happened exactly the same, yet the Officer was black, would we even have heard of Mike Brown ?

Yes, my take. Now the flip side. He is catching the flack for all the bad shoots cops ignore. Things like the stairwell shooting event, with the commissioner wanting to dismiss it as a mere accident. Or the Dorner hunt. Countless shootings that are far too questionable, but the cop always walks.
Simply put, people are so used to whitewashes that an innocent cop is simply assumed to be another Blue Line special.
