Its a good point you make, there is definitely some fatigue setting in over this whole episode.

It would be so hard to leave, though - I was born here, raised here, left here to join the Navy and then returned after a decade at sea to start and raise a family. I have a child buried here, and my wife and I expected that we will join her some day, resting together among the Cottonwoods while we wait for the return of our Savior.

Our first house when we were newly married was in Ferguson, and we still have life-long friends there on our old street.

Sigh...it would be SO hard to leave here...

How do ya think I feel being behind enemy lines for years? It's really hard to leave, agree. And some things make it nearly impossible. Of course, you'll never get me to tell people they should flee or move. That's just outright capitulation IMO. Besides I really hate cold weather.☺

FWIW, I'd make a stand.
