“’If I had it my way, I never would have done it the way I did, never would have told it the way I did,’”

Not buying it. It was pretty clear from day one that Sam’s NFL prospects were limited, and that his best chance for a big payday was the reality show angle. Quietly being drafted and then not making any fuss about being gay wouldn’t have sold the show.

BTW, where are the stories about Shelby Harris and Yawin Smallwood? They were both 7th round picks this year, and both have been waived by their teams. Don’t they have stories to tell too? /only semi-sarc.

blah blah blah blah boohoo No one remembers me so I must do interviews to remind people I’m a second rate football player who is a homosexual, my only claim to fame.

I feel his pain. I’m a lesbian trapped in a man’s body.

Please, the guy tried to use his sexual perversions to put him over the bubble to get a job... it worked, he knew exactly what he was doing.

Unfortunately for him, is on field talents weren’t up to where they needed to be to stay employed... and had he not brought his sexuality up he probably never would have been drafted in the first place, so it was a very calculated move on his part.

The idea he wouldn’t have done it that way is nonsense... he knew exactly what he was doing. He wasn’t “outed” he chose to make his sexuality an issue in attempt to get over the hump, nothing more, nothing less.

“wasn’t he the first openly gay NFL failure?”

Yes he blew his chance, so to speak.

He was used as a pawn by politicians, and other scoundrels.

That’s what gets me too. He orchestrated the whole thing in the first place!!!

So after having orchestrated his coming out and orchestrating his joy getting the call that an NFL team drafted him, and after publicly discussing with Oprah doing a training camp reality show, now he’s saying he didn’t want this to happen this way???

After he set up the entire situation, he’s saying he didn’t want any of that to happen?? And we are supposed to believe him????? And we are supposed to feel sorry for him, that he was a victim somehow???

Degenerate minds behave that way ... now this fool has shown yet another example of trying to play the homo card.

Translation: being a fag isn’t proving to be as lucrative as actually having some talent, but since I played my trump card first, I’m fresh outta options.

Huh? So why did he come out? Other than to manage to get himself drafted as the first openly gay player to be drafted and to score a reality show on OWN?

“If I had it my way, I never would have done it the way I did, never would have told it the way I did,” says Sam

OK, gotta ax, whose way was it?

He says, "I never would have done it the way I did".

What the hell does that mean?

Headline: Average football talent seeks additional attention.

That about sums it up!

Dude when you’re the recipient of one of the ‘greatest gifts God has given’*, you want to boast about it.

I did get the feeling he was very uncomfortable with the attention. He wanted to be honest with his sexuality but he didn’t want to be paraded around like some circus attraction.
