I'm no Gruber fan, but I hate to see how this story has become completely about Gruber and not about the fact that he simply advised the president to deceive, and the president was the one who implemented the deception.

Gruber had no power to do anything he said or felt. He had to have willing people in power to get the scam done.

In sum, the makings of a conpiracy are well-documented---Gruber had influence over the CBO, the White House, and Congress alike. It's hard to overestimate his importance; Gruber's role was central to the efforts of President Obama and his Democratic allies to shove Obamacare down an unwilling citizenry’s throat.
