* Obama made the remarks during an interview with This Week host George Stephanopolous that was broadcast Sunday
* 'We are not even close to being able to deal with the folks who have been here a long time,' he said
* 'It is a stunning and sad display of a president declining to honor his constitutional obligation,' GOP Sen. Ted Cruz said in response
* The president declined to if he was worried about outbursts of violence in Ferguson if police officer Darren Wilson is not indicted
* He also wouldn't endorse Hillary Clinton for president but said she'd be 'a great president' and gave her his blessing to depart from his positions
* Americans 'want that new car smell,' he said. 'They want to drive something off the lot that doesn't have as much mileage as me'
President Barack Obama brushed off complaints levied by the GOP that his immigration actions are illegal in an ABC News interview that aired today, saying that the U.S. has 'limited resources' and it only makes sense for the government to prioritize the removal of 'felons, criminals and recent arrivals' over longtime residents and families.
'Everybody knows, including Republicans, that we're not going to deport 11 million people,' Obama told George Stephanopolous during a Friday interview for his Sunday morning program This Week.
'The reason that we have to do prosecutorial discretion in immigration is that we know that we are not even close to being able to deal with the folks who have been here a long time,' he said.
In the extended interview Obama and Stephanoplous also discussed the grand jury investigation into Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson and the 2016 presidential race....

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.
No need to chase them all down. Just demotivate them from staying.
The "the government guest/estimate of 11 million Illegal Aliens," was probably accurate for the state of California 5 years ago. If one were to include the other 56 states of Obamaland, the updated guess/estimate number might well be upwards of 20 million.
It seems to me that the "the government guess/estimate of 11 million Illegal Aliens," has been around since I was a boy and has become meaningless boiler-plate.
Pres.. Eisenhower deported over 3,000,000 in Operation Wetback in a day without the technology we have at our disposal. What makes it impossible now is lawlessness In the White House.
” we can’t deport 11 million illegals “ ...... A lie often repeated enough people will believe it.
Deporting one person would be a good start. Kenya needs an idiot.
“Everybody knows...that we’re not going to deport 11 million people...”
So, Mr. Obama, what are you gonna do if 100,000,000 come across illegally?
Exactly.
I don't know about the ones who've been here a while. Two or three I can think of -- in their 40s and 50s -- supported now mostly by their anchor baby progeny who are in twenties and work conventional jobs. The older illegals still work in agriculture (orchards pay well for a fairly short season and have a perpetual labor shortage). Go to a free clinic for medical care but not eligible for Medicaid. Neither can they get TANF or SNAP (unlike when the kids were younger). Very few close relatives remaining in Mexico, if any.
Well, the sooner we secure the borders and start enforcing the law the fewer of these cases we’ll have.
I want to know why 0bama can’t make Mexico a leftist utopia so we all want to move there.
Just close / secure the border. First. Just do it. Like yesterday.
This is awful.
Can we try?
Let’s get started. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Someone needs to tell the Sunni punk to shut his lying mouth.
Mighty white of the Sunni-In-Chief...
How about we deport the Kenyan first and then decide on the other few million.
