Up to 30,000 missing emails sent by former Internal Revenue Service official Lois Lerner have been recovered by the IRS inspector general, five months after they were deemed lost forever.
The U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) informed congressional staffers from several committees on Friday that the emails were found among hundreds of disaster recovery tapes that were used to back up the IRS email system.
They just said it took them several weeks and some forensic effort to get these emails off these tapes, a congressional aide told the Washington Examiner.

I think there's a good chance. The IG did the recovery, not the IRS. I think there's a good chance the IRS doesn't really know what was on those tapes.
“The ultimate Friday night document dump.”
If those documents must also be released to the public via the Internet, the end result would be the Pajamas Patrol having a whole weekend to find the goodies.
;-)
searching the congressional email servers would have got some of the email - or the backups of those servers - but i seriously doubt ANY congressfolk want ANY inspection of what is on their servers
Now for my “jealous” moment. I met Linda Harrison at a movie conference many years ago and got her to autograph the picture of her and Charles Heston on the horse at the end of the movie.
I told her I would love to get Heston’s autograph on it and she gave me his home address. I sent it and received it signed the day before he announced that he had Alzheimers. You could see it in his handwriting.
He was a great actor and an even greater American, unlike much of the crap coming out of Hollyweird today. He is missed.
That’s a lot of massaging, but; they have had time especially with DNC help.
More proof of lies and the damn Gov attorney lied. These clowns and every Liberal will lie and lie. They have zero credibility.
It took them several weeks to clean out the incriminating stuff.
Issa will no longer be the chair in the new cingress . Jason Chaffitz will be the chair. Good buddies with Jim Jordan and Trey Gowdy.
Next spring will get interesting along with hearings in the Senate.
Ask for the tapes, not the Emails extracted from the tapes! The same IT person who has already extracted them, can extract them again from the tapes in the committee's possession.
Bingo!
You know it.
Orange is the new black, Lois.
I hear you and hope Chaffetz has a steel set. I’m not holding out much hope. Freepers say he’s a grandstander and I’m bummed about Gowdy being pro amnesty.
Shit.
Hard to get excited about the gov getting it’s act together :|
Hate to say it, but these IRS emails read like ‘womans day’ magazine. One big bridal shower of corruption over at the IRS. Throw all these beeeotches in jail. Holly Paz, Lerner, Jackie, Michelle, Sarah, Nikole, blah blah blah.. Just one big fat ladies cocktail party over at the IRS.
I guess this election cycle is over. Time to flush out the hidden data before the next one starts.
It is Friday Night and we are cooking linguine and smoked shrimp in Alfredo Sauce. Been a tough week for both of us, but I am hopeful that this discovery is from outside the Regime, or it has been dumped by Patriots, not Loyalists to the Great and Powerful Boz. I am going to go enjoy my Martini and dinner and we will see how this pans out.
"What difference does it make.
Obama, Issa, Cummings, Gruber and Holder have my back."
maybe so, I am on the IRS shit list, and seriously scared myself as they’re trying to tax my disability pension and or force retroactive tax es. i need a pro bono tax/CPA badly to help me. If you know anyone in Eureka, Ca area, please write me via email, thanks
and yes I think you are correct in your post, sorry I’m in a dire mood right now.
kind of hard to look thru 30K emails, but it is possible with a keyword searcher. Not the best time for them to do this, lots of people have next week to crowd-source them. Maybe, they are hoping it gets lost in the noise over the holidays.
It’s a great publicity strategy to release negative info on Friday afternoons.
