Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Jeh Johnson on Wednesday said President Obama is poised to announce “comprehensive” executive action on immigration.
“I do not want and will not get out ahead of the president and the announcement that he will make in the coming days," Johnson said at the Washington think tank New Democrat Network.
“Legislative action is always preferable, but we’ve waited now for years to get Congress to act, and Congress has not acted.”
The White House on Wednesday said the president will announce his “commonsense steps” on immigration in a prime-time address on Thursday evening. Johnson said he believed Obama’s policy moves would fall within “a fairly wide latitude within existing executive authority to fix the system.”
“They will address a number of things, including border security,” Johnson said. The “comprehensive reforms are all within our existing legal authority to fix the broken immigration system.”

Obama should have already been impeached and now facing a 2nd or 3rd impeachment. I say put pressure on members of Congress to duty their and impeach this SOB. Ignore the RINOS and bedwetters.
Good for you. We should all contact our Senators and Congressman, no matter whether they’re DEM or GOP. Let them know you do not approve of Obama doing this.
Exactly. That's how the process works. Our Congresspersons and Senators are the ones closest to their constituents and most accountable to them. If those elected officials do nothing, it's because they don't have the support of their constituents.
We are a republic, not a direct democracy, and certainly not ruled by a monarchy.

Congress NOT acting on something the president wants IS acting, IS expressing the will of the people. If congress is expected to pass whatever the president wants, then why even have a congress?
I called my RINO rep, too. His staffer mentioned the withholding funding line, too. I said.. “yeah, yeah...we’ve heard that one, before. What about supporting Articles of Impeachment against 0bola? Does he support that?!”
He hemmed and hawed...but finally answered....possibly.
I also asked if Boehner and Midge happened to sleep - or pass out - right through this last election...as they don’t seem to get that WE WON!
