A large study of gay brothers adds to evidence that genes influence mens chances of being homosexual, but the results arent strong enough to prove it.
Some scientists believe several genes might affect sexual orientation. Researchers who led the new study of nearly 800 gay brothers say their results bolster previous evidence pointing to genes on the X chromosome.
They also found evidence of influence from a gene or genes on a different chromosome. But the study doesnt identify which of hundreds of genes located in either place might be involved.
Smaller studies seeking genetic links to homosexuality have had mixed results.

i think one gay brother might have done some jean work to convert the other brother...
It sounds as if this one had mixed results as well. It is all in the presentation.
There’s a gene that makes someone want to get reamed in the rear?
Doubtful.
I think thier parents probably shared some sort of ISSUE..Related...Genes...which they then passed on to the brothers...by means of the Nurture Gene
Frilly tight jeans with the zipper in back.
Sorry. These always turn out to be bogus. No one has ever determined that being gay is genetic. There are pairs of identical twins where only one is gay. And yes, I realize identical twins don’t have EXACTLY the same genetic complement, but closer than any other two people.
I read an interesting book called “Brain Sex” which posited that homosexuality came from a hormonal imbalance in the mother in utero.

Genetic traits breed true. Is there a gene for Trannies?
Still trying to prove that sexual perversion isn’t a choice.
Do they explain why they only included black guys in their study?
You can always count on the AP to express an opinion, a hope, a slant in the first few sentences.
This type of research should be front and center. We've mapped the genome and are now frantically looking for genetic markers for cancer, obesity, etc.
Gay people claim to have been born that way yet most strongly resist obtaining a definitive answer on the question. When it comes to so-called rights - marriage, employment, etc. - being gay is an unambiguous condition. The rest of the time, of course, sexuality 'is a continuum.'
As many have said, what they fear is voluntary, cognizant selection of partners (or even sperm donors) that have less genetic chance of gay offspring.
If true, there might be a bright side.
Taking bets on what the libtard attitude will be towards abortions if we find that gayness is genetic.
“You can abort anytime, any where...ONLY AFTER you check for the gay gene(s). If one is found, you MUST have the child and display multicolored rainbow flags on your housek, car, underwear, and wallet.”
Get the popcorn. . .
Beat me by one second. . .drat. . .
They are searching desperately for a genetic defect which would lead to the extinction of the blood line if it existed.
Truth: there may very well be random mutations which, from time to time, lead to an aberration. Those aberrations don’t reproduce, preventing the mutation from being passed on to the next generation.
Scientists won’t be able to find them, because they appear and then disappear.
If not genetic, then environmental? Such as young boys playing with dolls?
I can do a study that shows that the genes responsible for growing a hand correlate with people who are pick-pockets.
