As you may recall, I tried to embrace Judiasm early in the 2000’s. It didn’t work out for me. My father, I discovered, was Jewish, so, disappointed with the Roman Catholic church, I thought to give it a go.
I have two Jewish Stereotypes: Type One Jew, A Woody-Allen looking guy going “Excuse me, can I do your taxes for you?”. Type Two Jew, a young Bini-Netanhayu looking guy going, “Hold my freakin’ machine gun, I gotta take a pee.”
How many other FReepers haven't heard yet that I've been a Noachide for twenty-four years?

Well . . . looks like there's stuff about you I didn't know too.

I'm sorry it didn't. I also began consulting to convert, but uncertainty of where I was going to be living at the time cut things off. Plus Torah-true Judaism is a totalitarian religion (which is what G-d meant it to be) and I'm way too neurotic to deal with such things. Just being an observant Noachide is difficult enough!

I can understand how it hurt to disappoint your father. Re the RC church, I shall uncharacteristically withhold comment at the present time.
