Texas High School Football playoffs started last nite baby !
Rush was calling for shutdown today.
Thanks; happy to help out.
Dear Lord, that’s cold for the South! We’re forecast to be back up in the 50s/60s for a few days, next week, and then rollercoaster all over the darned place.
I’ve been working on Dad’s back paver block sidewalk since last Wed 5th, and have had nice/decent days/eves except for yesterday and today. It was cold out there in the shade. I’ll have some pics for Monday’s TGO thread.
From the dawn of history and up until our grandparent’s time,
mankind has required some source of heat in the winter in order to survive.
(OK, disclaimer, unless you happened to live within 10 degrees of the equator)
Since my generation, people believe they also “must” have air conditioning,
but mankind’s own history disproves that.
So, someone, please, tell me why any possible “global warming” is a “bad” thing?
took 2 of them thinkin pills didn’t ya
I get smarter after 2 beers.
Tell me, just what would happen if we DID default on our debt payments?
Seriously.
It can’t happen unless 0bama makes it happen.
Maybe China would repossess California?
see 30
and another thing I’ve been thinking about...
...what would happen if all minimum wage laws were repealed?
Hey all!
Libtard heads would explode and the economy would recover.
Hi, Ern, hope you are well.
Are y’all still in the 70’s out there?
Everyone else is frizzin’.
We’d effectively have 100% employment and those things necessary for survival would go down in price.
It’s friggen cold! I had to wear a jacket today! It must be around 60 at night.
same question a different way
if everyone over 17 was given 2 million each
how much does that total
what would be the flight of the money
what power would the government gain or lose
As a kid in the 50s, and growing-up in the 60s, I didn’t mind the summer heat in Pa, Wv, Il, Ia, though my parents made sure all our homes had AC. They got window units for all our immediate family and relatives, too. But in later years, my tolerance of heat and ‘humdidity’ was tested, working the Family Farm, fields, greenhouses, jobsites, and retail business. I always looked forward to a long, cool shower after work. My plants liked GW, though.
New jobs would be created that paid less than the existing minimum wage.
Some existing low skilled/low value jobs would pay less for labor.
I don’t think any existing jobs above minimum wage would be effected.
