It would have been possible to pressure Mitt into doing things that no amount of American outrage could budge Barack on. That said, we cannot drive in the rearview mirror.
That is speculation based on wishful thinking. Nothing more. One must acknowledge mistakes lest they repeat them. Many refuse to do that. Ergo they repeat them.
Just like Boehner and McConnell are being pressured now? The way Dubya was pressured to veto McCain's Campaign Finance reform? Oh ... that's right, Dubya let us down.
That's what guys like you have been promising for more than 30 years -- "Hey, we can pressure him!" But the opposite happens -- conservatives are pressured into being progressive.
