They have basically become a store that caters to the EBT and Welfare crowd. Which is why a lot of us avoid Walmart. BTW, also surprised anyone wants to work there—especially the cashiers. I have witnessed customers screaming and hurling insults at cashiers worse than the saltiest sailor.
I went to pick my wife up from her shift at our local WM. On our way out the door, she was accosted by a Katriniac (this being right after the hurricane). Asked my wife about the location of some item in grocery; wife replied “I’ll get an associate from grocery. I work in clothing”. The woman exploded! Cussed my wife like a drunk sailor (sorry ‘bout that, drunk sailors)! I wanted to slap that boob-jobbed slutmonkey, but my wife likes her job.
I won’t shop at Walmart for that reason. If they actually have something I want I order it online and go early in the morning to pick it up. In and out. That’s it.
