Let’s see rights decided by where you live when did that works so well wait I think there was a major civil war about that once upon a time here in the United States silly me I must be misremembering
Exactly!
It is absolutely important for as many of us as possible these next two years to trumpet the need to focus on a single candidate, and to avoid looking the merry-go-round disaster of 2012.
The establishment has their lackeys on deck already. Let them fight each other for money and air this time.
We know the left is not afraid of Bush or Christie. We know they are certain losers. We know that one serious conservative candidate (not someone that just gets the nod from goofy Iowa caucus-goers or irrelevant NH brown-nosers) will roll these guys if we are disciplined and serious ourselves.
I probably wasn’t clear that I was speaking for myself. As for ownership I don’t have a problem with individuals owning automatic weapons.
Admirable as it was, it's still a big leap from running the pediatric neurosurgery department at Johns Hopkins to running the US gov't.
Sen. Barbara Mikulski is up for reelection in 2016, and she'll be 80. I'd prefer to see him go for that job instead. I think he'd be a shoo-in. (Also, the red state senators could teach him about guns.)
Back to Cruz. Very disappointing to think Carson, a good man, believe he can unilaterally amend the Constitution. Not much different thinking than that of Obama.
I don’t even want him near the Surgeon General spot now.
>>...whether people should be allowed to own semi-automatic weapons, the doctor replied: It depends on where you live.<<
Well, he will have a place in republican politics, but if he holds this view, he will not get my support.
Give up your right to keep firearms (no matter where one lives), you give up your freedom. No way, No how!
Ok, well bye. At least we found out early. Next...
I used to be for a Cruz/Carson ticket. Next!
Cruz/West.
#5 You can only have single shot flintlock rifle and only if you are a’hunting bear.
CMC is my alma mater.
She manages money for wealthy clients.
That’s disqualifying in your book?
You have a very narrow book.
Dr. Carson believes your 2nd Amendment rights depend on your zip code.
I believe Dr. Carson is sincere and well-intentioned. But his understanding of the Constitution is limited and he’s in over his head. We’ve been hearing this for a long time now, but many have chosen to overlook it. Too many people can be deceived by an articulate man who knows how to give a really good speech. (See 2008 election)
To be an American you have to be brave.
You do not have to be valorous in combat or perform heroic acts, but you have to be BRAVE.
You have to be able to accept the sometimes tragic things that occur with freedom.
To accept that crazy and evil people will have access to weapons, unless we are brave enough to disarm and kill them (maybe prison for some, but killing them is better).
Being brave also means you can be prosperous and famous, but you always risk being destitute, obscure, and hated.
You don't seek to pad every sharp corner, nor place a safety net under every challenging leap.
Americans have all but forgotten this aspect to life.
You have to be brave, and have faith in God, the USA, and yourself and fellow man.
Making everything 'safe' is not the American way.
I suspect the Carson for President crowd is caucusing with the Palin for President folks. Really, we need a real candidate with experience and success to back him up....like Gov. Walker.
Carson is a non-starter. Add his attitude toward race and that is two strikes with no third required.
Spot on, stick a fork in Ben he’s done.
Bye Bye Ben.
