This is an old definition since smog is not what it used to be in the US since ending backyard burners (yes, I'm that old), catalytic converters, coal fired plants with scrubbers. However, it still applies to China and India. Notice that it includes other "photochemicals" such as soot and sulfer dioxide and other "components" (anyone got an idea how many those are?).

That is what smog is - it's not simple CO2. We've pretty much cleaned up our act, so why did Obambi give China and India such concessions? Oh right, he's damn dictator.

THE DEAL: U.S. to make sharp reductions by 2025; China to keep increasing emissions until 2030...

Let’s review - China agreed to increase emissions for 16 years, America will sharply reduce emissions during the next 11 years.

Let’s see, the US has already drastically reduced our carbon emissions (at great cost to the economy), and now, if we double down on our reductions by 2025, China will “cap” it’s carbon emissions at whatever they are in 2030 (which will be huge because they add coal fired plants everyday). So, we suffer additional economic pain while China continues to be the largest and growing emitter of carbon with out any consequence for the next sixteen years!! How can anyone in their right minds, our with half a brain believe that this is a good deal?? Yes, it is “historic” for its mind blowing stupidity.

I thought that Obama would jump into action shortly after the elections, regardless of the outcome, and it is playing out. He is going to do his own version of "Shock and Awe" on the GOP, and then block whatever legislation the GOP sends to him once the new Congress is seated. The GOP will have no choice but to impeach and remove this guy, and he is daring them to do it.
