Rep. Matt Salmon of Arizona is pushing his Republican colleagues to try to block the president from using executive action on immigration, but his plan is likely to hit strong resistance from House leaders.
The federal government is currently funded through a continuing resolution that runs out at midnight on December 11. Salmon, echoing similar calls from Republican senators Jeff Sessions of Alabama and Mike Lee of Utah, proposes that Congress pass a bill that would fund the government until early next year. If the president moves ahead with his executive amnesty, the expiring continuing resolution would give Republicans an opportunity to block funding for the president's action after both houses of Congress are under Republicans’ control.
But that plan has a tough road ahead. Republican leadership in the House is eager to pass a spending bill through the 2015 fiscal year before the start of the new Congress.

Sadly, though, I don’t think the pubbies have the will or the stones to do it. In fact, there are more than just a couple of them who agree with him on many points.
It’s because they are leftists at their core. They believe that words are malable things and to be applied ‘situationaly. If they were conservatives, they would fight for conservatism, not make excuses for RINOs.
A person that rapes is a rapist. A person who golfs is a golfer. A person that fishes is a fisherman and a person that supports liberals is a liberal. What party that liberal is in matters not a bit.
Barry deserves it, but that's just a little less likely than seeing the Republican 'leadership' really stand up and fight his illegal tactics.

Seriously, I'm with you. Virtually all these 'divisive' political situations faced by the Republicans have simple, effective solutions immediately recognizable by any decent poker player or jiu-jitsu practioner.
They all offer an opportunity not only to address a problem but also to thrash the Democrats once again.
My only amendment to your 1/3 solution would be to tack on a giant border fence just to emphasize our intentions.

What I would love to see is a strong immigration law. I would close the anchor baby loophole from January 1, 2010. I would then close the border until the fence - a 15’ tall, brick wall with spikes on the top - is built. I would force businesses to use E verified to make sure the employees are American then I would ENFORCE immigration laws. I would have 40% from Europe, Australia, Canada and South America, 35% from Asia and the rest from Mexico and Central America and Africa.
