Do you actually know anything about the history of nuclear weapons?. If you actually did, you’d know your second sentence is laughable ignorance.
The British had their own nuclear programme before the US, in 1940. Called Tube Alloys. The British also GAVE a neutral America ALL its nuclear secrets/plans/work free in 1940. And British scientists and German Jewish scientists given refuge in the UK worked on the Manhattan Project. Leslie Groves stated publicly that the atomic bomb would never have been built and dropped in 1945, without the British contribution.
