As speculation continues to swirl over whether she would run for president in 2016, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) solidified her standing as a favorite of Hollywood and Los Angeles progressives on Sunday when she delivered a speech hammering Washington for being beholden to corporate interests and the rich and powerful.
While some of the guests at the ACLU of Southern California's Bill of Rights Dinner expressed frustration and dismay over the campaigns of Democrats, Warren directed her remarks at the system on Capitol Hill.

Why doesn’t she donate her paycheck each month? If she wants to set an example, donate the paycheck, the speaking fees and live in a hostel while she’s in Washington DC like the kids who voted for her
It always seems odd to me. Wealthy prominent liberals preaching to other wealthy liberals, about how terrible it is that people in the evil 1% are responsible for all the problems of society. How many of the 1% who go to hear Elizabeth Warren and other 1% liberal politicians are giving away their money and property, to prove that they are liberal? How much is Michael Moore worth? How much does he give to charity? Just an example of the bloated, blathering, loudmouth liberalism we have to listen to.
.
Democrats never express dissatisfaction with the ‘system’ on Capitol Hill when they’re in charge.
this is one bat-sh*t crazy woman.
Next President. Bet on it.
I hope she does throw her war bonnet in the ring...
She’s complaining to the liberal elites that are rich and powerful that Washington is beholden to corporate interests that are rich and powerful. lol
Next President. Bet on it.
Well, Warren is a firery loud liberal advocate for liberalism. Many Democrats feel that the Clintons are not liberal enough for them. Today’s Democrat party has been co-opted by the lunatic fringe.
Remember too, Hillary was the inevitable candidate in 2008 and was taken down in the primaries. If Hillary was inevitable before and taken out, what makes anyone think she is inevitable this time around?
Also, some Democrats see the Clintons as blocking other potential Democrat candidates for president for the next ten years. Reason being, if Hillary runs and wins election in 2016, then she would run for re-election in 2020. So the next time the Democrat nomination for president would be open would be in 2024.
The rich elites believe in things like the United Nations, European Union and international government in a general sense because it makes it easier for big business to do business across borders.
When a guy like Nigel Farage pops up in the UK with UKIP calling for his country to leave the EU, its rich elitists like Richard Branson of Virgin who oppose him.
The rich elites also like unrestricted immigration-migration so cheap labor can move easily and keep labor costs depressed.
What’s good about rich elite guys like Bloomberg who support gun control and birth control.
Warren is trying to rally the Left with nice sounding words, but does she really mean it anyway.
Obama certainly hasn’t because he created Obamacare that helps big health insurance and hospital interests whose stocks are now soaring above the rest.
Yep. The critics of Warren don’t get it.
Dizzie Lizzie it shall be.
A speech given to drum up the support of the rich and powerful.
Can she supply a list of her donor list?
“hammer” is a word often associated with her past speeches about the “middle class being hammered...” It must be one of those buzz words.
I will say this: if the Dems are counting on the monolithic black vote they will have an uphill battle with Hillary or Warren. Black women respond in a visceral, negative way to these screechy white harpies. It’s one reason Marcia Clark was doomed from the off in the OJ trial.
