This is a great week for moving-van operators in D.C. Hundreds of Democrat solons and their considerable staffs are going to find out if you really can go home again as they desperately, and probably futilely, scramble to find slots in lobbying firms and in what is ridiculously dubbed “public interest” outfits to stay here.

The AFL-CIO and Dem moneybags Tom Steyer collectively blew almost 100 million dollars trying to retain power for their pals .One wonders how much more they will feed into the maw of these losers. The tills of the countless Democratic tax-exempt front groups must be running low.

Question — regarding big money in politics —

Why is it ok with liberals for Tom Steyer, George Soros, big labor, etc. to pour big money into our politics, but the Koch Brothers are EVIL for spending big money in politics on candidates and issues they care about???

Ancillary question — why do liberals consider the Koch Brothers EVIL, but won’t call groups such as ISIS or Al Qaeda evil???? Why do they consider domestic political opponents as evil, but not actual militant warriors who would behead them if given the chance? How do they define evil?

You said...
“Why do they consider domestic political opponents as evil, but not actual militant warriors who would behead them if given the chance”

They’re following the philosophy of, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”

also,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groupthink
see the stereotyping bit (think Coch, Bush, Palin...)

Type I: Overestimations of the group — its power and morality

Illusions of invulnerability creating excessive optimism and encouraging risk taking.
Unquestioned belief in the morality of the group, causing members to ignore the consequences of their actions.

Type II: Closed-mindedness

Rationalizing warnings that might challenge the group’s assumptions.
Stereotyping those who are opposed to the group as weak, evil, biased, spiteful, impotent, or stupid.

Type III: Pressures toward uniformity

Self-censorship of ideas that deviate from the apparent group consensus.
Illusions of unanimity among group members, silence is viewed as agreement.
Direct pressure to conform placed on any member who questions the group, couched in terms of “disloyalty”
Mindguards— self-appointed members who shield the group from dissenting information.

Buenas Noches from the Caucus Room, eh?

She wore pink sneakers, with her long blonde hair,
She plotted the campaign, and got out the vote,
But coldly they left us, and caused her to cry,
She wrote my platform, and told such sweet lies...

Remember when the Axis of Evil used to be Iran, Iraq, and North Korea?

To today’s Democrats, the Axis of Evil is David Koch, Charles Koch, and Benjamin Netanyahu.

Usually salty but sweet as honey this go ‘round. Even better, for me and a lot of Nevadans anyway, the assembly and senate are now controlled by the republicans. Of course “tick” segerblom state senator from the Vegas area is saddened and hopes that the new folks in charge won’t forget southern NV in the upcoming session. Well, a lot of the R assembly persons are from the southern part of the state which is home to about 70% of the NV population. Not to worry “tick” I’m sure that they’ll remember all the wonderful things you’ve done for rural Nevadans.

Even better, for me and a lot of Nevadans anyway, the assembly and senate are now controlled by the republicans.

But how many new laws will they pass strengthening protection of your rights and how many bad old laws on the books will they repeal, or will it just be a holding action with no further damage done, and the ratchet continues to only move one direction, just at varying speeds?
