Gov.-elect Charlie Baker this morning said he would nix a Patrick administration plan to issue special driver’s licenses to non-citizens to comply with new federal rules.
“I don’t support issuing driver’s licenses to people who are undocumented,” he said this morning on Boston Herald Radio’s “Morning Meeting” with Joe Battenfeld and Jaclyn Cashma

Maryland voted to keep the Dream Act 59-41 in 2012. The only state to vote for amnesty. But it would have been sold as keeping food out of the mouths of children.
Every other ballot measure on immigration is a pro-crackdown type response.
It looks like Baker is telling Barak Hussein Obungler to FOAD. I like it.
Seems some politicians have grown some balls lately. Might have something to do with the Tea Party unseating more than just a few RINOs
Be prepared to show a certified birth certificate if they go to real ID...and if you are a female who has married be prepared to show marriage certificate as well.

It’s said he might not be able to have enough clout in the state legislature to sustain his vetoes but hopefully he could do some kind of executive action in policy like this.
When William Weld was governor, he made it so there was no fee in renewing registrations if in good standing and the exits on the Mass. Pike went toll-free. The tolls have since been re-instated. Baker portrayed himself as a fiscal conservative, problem-solver.
I know people here are not find of “RINOs” but I couldn’t see myself enduring at least four years of “Governor
Coakley” after 8 years of Governor Patrick. Mass.

The woman he defeated—the same woman who was defeated by Scott Brown in 2010—Martha Coakley said the following on a Worc. MA radio station that year:
“Technically it is not illegal to be illegal in
Massachusetts.”
She supported licenses for illegals.
No a bigger barrier for illegals might be dealing with the State Police and the political hacks and lackies that run the DMV in Massachusetts, oh man it makes a Soviet Union Bread Line look efficient. Think about standing in line for potentially for an hr+ to get anything done. I haven't lived their in eon's but my dad had a long wait recently. Here in Michigan, it is run like a small business, 1/2 hr max, and if you pick the right time to go, 5 minutes max...
I was driving from Austin to Lake Jackson Texas a month ago and out in the middle of nowhere, along the highway, I saw a small sign on a small building with tall fence around it, that read: I.D.s Here.
I imagine fake IDs. It wasn’t a court house or DMV etc.
I heard that the last presidential race was swayed toward ZERO by all the illegals who were able to vote.

Actualy, when I moved back to the US from India, I moved to MA (have family there). I went to get my license, and it took about 10-15 minutes. There were maybe 8 other people there, and the counter clerks were very efficient; if anything, it was the customers not being ready when it was their turn that slowed things down.
yes that would true.....most folks I know did change their last name
