I do not see how aligning with EU is benefiting Ukraine. The only way to improve Ukraine’s economy is to do it alongside Russia. Improve both or there will be conflict. I see no way around it.

In order to be a normal country Ukraine should finally get rid of political corruption, entitlement mentality and start living within own means and by their brains.
They think high about own geopolitical value and prostituting their allegiance instead to one party at the time pissing off another for handouts shared by political class.
It never ends well for them and for parties investing in them too because their allegiance is windy due to obvious reasons.
This time they believe their president was Russian puppet and it allegedly brought them troubles. In a few years they would be disappointed in another president who would be considered Western puppet and they would blame the West. Just look at Ukrainian history. It has already happened more than once.
