I’m pretty much a Tea Party dude, but we’re talking New Hampshire here. So, Brown is about as conservative as you can go there and have a chance. I thought he ran a dang good campaign.

It’s these dang Libertarians who somehow find it necessary to siphon off 4 or 5% of the republican vote who royally tick me off. The dems are smart enough not to dilute their vote.

You act like the GOP is entitled to those libertarian votes.

I agree with you. Brown was far from the ideal conservative, but given the realities of where he was running, I would have rather seen him win that Shaheen. Brown, at least, was good on defense issues and the like. We’re just not going to get a Ted Cruz or Ronald Reagan in Blue states like NH. Sometimes, half a loaf (or half a conservative) is the best you can hope for, realistically.

Those votes are not “siphoned off”, those are human beings are who voting for the candidate they think should win. They have every right not to vote for your candidate.
