First off, I want to thank God.
Gov. Scott Walker had just come on stage at the State Fair Exposition Center to give his third victory speech in four years, and the supporters mashed up in front of the stage were totally losing it.
I want to thank God for his abundant grace and mercy, Walker continued. Win or lose, it is more than sufficient for each and every one of us.
The crowd exploded.
Its nice of Walker to throw in that win or lose line, but he didnt really need it. Walker doesnt lose. The governor first got elected in 2010 by 5.8 points, won an acrimonious recall election in 2012 by 6.8 points, and looks set to win his first real re-election bid by about 6 points.
Walkers supporters at the victory party were elated but not surprised. They argued his win was in the cards from jump street, that Democratic nominee Mary Burkes dependence on out-of-state support backfired, and that Walkers superhuman ability to stay on message made re-election way easier than it looked to many (including me!). The governor had a straightforward strategy, and he stuck to it.
Wisconsin Republicans expect the final voting data to confirm that Walker won in large part because he took Fox Valley in northeast Wisconsin. That region, which includes Green Bay, is the states second largest media market (after Milwaukee and before Madison). Walker visited the area about a dozen times in the past two weeks of the campaign, according to Wisconsin GOP First Vice Chairman Brian Schimming, and he had a robust field operation there.
To be fair, he had a robust field operation everywhere, with 23 offices around the state and an effective grass-roots organization.

He should be our next POTUS.
Walker deserves the chance to show himself on the national stage. Perhaps the GOP can allow him to appear on more Sunday shows so the people can get to know him better.
This will change.
Christie doesn’t want to run against him.
I wrote work for him in southern Arizona.I
Walker isn’t really known nationally to the public. That can change.
Cruz would win the Latino and Latina vote easily and beat the dems at their own game.
I bet either would win. How about Walker/Cruz or Cruz/Walker and 16 years of republican presidencies.
At this stage of the game it’s about name recognition. Of COURSE a Bush name would be recognized. Why Walker’s name isn’t more widely recognized, after the brouhaha up there 2 years ago, is beyond me except a national ADD>
Or Walker/Martinez or Walker/Haley
I love it. Both suggestions would win big over Hillary.
The “war on women” theme and the female candidates that Hillary campained for were supposed to be the launch pad for Hillary 2016. That rocket blew up on launch.
It won’t matter. She will run anyway. It’s her density.
What happened to Occupy Wall street? How many of their candidates ran for office? /Snicker
