His lands were featured on “Last of the Mohicans”, standing in for “New York”.
Way back in the late 80s or maybe early 90s I was at a mall, just West of Asheville. I saw Cherokee Indians dressed in war paint all around the mall.
Sort of disquieting. I had no idea what they were doing. I later learned they were taking a break from filming “Last of the Mohicans”. They had been hired from the reservation in Cherokee. I knew a guy who lived near Old Fort. They were filming part of the movie on his land.
