*** Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America has hung its hat on protesting the open carry of rifles in that state. ***

Let’s always remember that it was the armed CITIZENS OF TEXAS who first starting SHOOTING BACK at Charles Whitman, in the UT tower back in 1966 and kept him pinned down till the cops arrived.

Repubs have the majority in the NM House Reps for the first time since 1953!

Seems like only yesterday the Ray Sanchez and Manny Aragon would rule until doomsday.

I think the law goes back the Tx Reconstruction after the Civil War.

You're right it does. It was to keep all those Un-reconstructed Rebel Texas outlaws from carrying.

“Don’t know much about him, but he already sounds like an upgrade from the RINO Texas version of Romeny... Rick Perry.”

Perry is a jerk, Abbott is a classy guy and didn’t have to campaign hard-right to win, he just coasted in, and brought 20 point victories to the rest of the Republican ticket.
